Pride of Nations - Early Impressions

Post by Dr. Corday » Mon May 30, 2011 10:41 am

I've had a few days now to try the Pride of Nations demo. I love the look and feel of the game's interface. There is a lot of game here and I am having a bit of a time wrapping my head around everything. I love the fact that it is turn-based (instead of real-time like Victoria 2). I like the way armies and units in general are handled. The diplomatic possibilities look great as well. I haven't even started to try to figure out colonies but that looks really detailed. More to come.
I hope to do a tutorial AAR on this game provided I ever learn it for myself!

The game releases this Tuesday! (and yes, I have pre-ordered  ) I have a fairly good grasp of how to play but still a little lost with the economy and colonization. I think once I can play past 12 turns it will become more clear. Look for a review or an AAR sometime soon.
