Wednesday, September 1st, 2010: Wayne Ford's been around the league long enough to appreciate the honor he received today. After going 4-2 in August, the 33-year-old Colorado Springs hurler has been named Pacific Conference Pitcher of the Month.
He fanned 22 in 53.1 innings, logged an ERA of 2.36 and allowed opponents to hit .231 against him.
In 28 starts this season Ford has rung up a 16-10 record and a 2.79 ERA.

 | Nashville Starter Wins August's Pitcher Award
Wednesday, September 1st, 2010: The American Conference hitters didn't have a chance in August when the Nashville Sounds manager wrote "Ayotte" on the lineup card. Outing after outing, Dominique Ayotte held teams in check and usually got a win.
He excelled with a 5-0 mark and 3.22 ERA in 6 starts. The talented Sounds star pitched 44.2 innings, fanned 26 and held opposing teams to a .253 average.
For his superb mound work Ayotte was named the AC Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers.
This season Ayotte has a 14-10 record with a 3.98 ERA.

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010: It's a time for celebration in Colorado Springs as Lynwood Hunter has just walked away with August's Pacific Conference Batter of the Month award.
He socked 36 hits in 103 at-bats to put up a .350 batting average, 4 home runs, 12 RBIs and 15 runs scored.
Batting .352 to date, Hunter has 5 home runs and 14 RBIs.
