| Breaking News |  | TEX's Top Pitcher in August Is Dunse
Wednesday, September 1st, 2010: An outstanding 6-1 record in August earned Rusty Dunse the Pitcher of the Month Award in the Texas League. When his name was penciled in to start on the Corpus Christi lineup card, it meant trouble for opposing teams.
In 52.2 innings of work, Dunse limited opposing batters to 46 base hits and a .234 batting average. He notched 39 strikeouts, issued 13 walks and had a 2.39 ERA.
To date this season Dunse is 11-5 with 17 starts and an ERA of 3.36 with 92 strikeouts in 131.1 innings.

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010: The Texas League has selected its Hitter of the Month for August and the honor went to Evan Baker, San Antonio's fine left fielder.
Baker was selected after batting .355, hitting 7 home runs, scoring 23 runs and driving in 20.
Thus far this year Baker is hitting .331 with 8 home runs, 35 RBIs and 50 runs scored.
