| Breaking News |  | Reliever Nam Top CAL Pitcher in August
Wednesday, September 1st, 2010: A relief ace was chosen the best pitcher in the California League in the month of August.
The top votegetter was Dae Nam of the Stockton Ports, who finished the month with 8 saves in 10 save opportunities.
He had 3 wins and 1 loss with a 1.80 ERA. Nam hurled 15 innings and totaled 16 strikeouts.
This year Stockton reliever Nam has made 40 relief appearances and has 18 saves. His record is 7-7 with 37 strikeouts in 41 innings and a 4.83 ERA.

 | Super Month Nets Hashimoto #1 Batter Prize in CAL
Wednesday, September 1st, 2010: August was a good month for Sojuro Hashimoto. The Inland Empire first baseman had his way with opposing pitchers all month while posting a .345 batting average and was selected as the California League Batter of the Month.
Last month Hashimoto put up some solid numbers: 7 home runs, 21 RBIs, 25 runs scored and a .424 on-base percentage.
So far on the season Hashimoto is hitting .333 with 9 home runs, 33 RBIs and 36 runs scored. He has 59 hits and played in 45 games.

 | Barrage of Hits Gets Santiago CAL Award
Monday, August 30th, 2010: This week's California League Player of the Week is António Santiago of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes.
He ambushed CAL pitching for 13 hits in 29 at-bats, 2 home runs and 15 RBIs, while hitting .448 and scoring 7 runs.
Thus far this season Santiago has hit .339 with 4 home runs, 18 RBIs and scored 11 times.
